I am SO glad you are reading this right now! I just want to say, you are the reason I can do what I do! Yes, you! My past, current, and future clients are what make my world go round.
I've been photographer for nine years and have experience ranging from equestrian shoots all the way to human portraits to macro and landscape photography. My two true loves are black background and "high key", or white background, portraits. I LOVE that I can let my imagination compose and frame each photo to bring out each subject's individuality.

Small town girl with big dreams.
Shortly after picking up my first camera, a Nikon of course, in high school I was hooked! I was taking pictures of anything and everything from weeds to horses to dogs. Anything I could find outside made its way into my growing portfolio.
After moving from Michigan to Kentucky for college I juggled academics, athletics, and my newfound love for photography. This time, though, I started to delve more heavily into the equine and canine side of the field as I lived in the Horse Capitol of the world. Black and white background portraits became one of my niches. I always loved how I could black out the background and have the focus be solely on my subject. With no background to take the attention away from my subject, I could use my artistic eye to capture my subjects in their own individuality and uniqueness.

Think of an image that invokes a powerful emotion in you, an emotion such as joy, passion, connection, or friendship. Those are the emotions I strive to capture in each and every shoot I do. The intention I have for my portraiture is to provide my clients with lasting memories in one shot--regardless if my subject is an equine or human, each shot should capture the individual's own uniqueness. When I shoot landscape and nature I want to show the world the beauty we so often miss in an ever changing and fast-paced society. There is so much beauty in the simplicity of life that can bring great emotion that we all so often miss. My hope is that I can share with you the beauty of the world we live in.
